my doubt is y cant d answr be parable n brevity?parable is a brief story..answer is lecture:instruction
parable is a short story, but brevity only means "to be short, or concise".
Lecture/instruction is a possible RESULT of a lecture.
Not all anecdotes are amusing, but some are. Not all lectures are instructional, but some are.
Further the point of MOST lectures, is to be instructional.
The point of MOST anecdotes is to be amusing.
Don't simply look for the DIRECT analog for the word "short = short" but the relationship. In this case it's, action -> result.
thanks for your detailed reply..got it john..how can i ace the analogies?i am very bad at them
Parable means a simple story and brevity means short and concise . There is no relation .
and thus Lecture and illustration as explained above .
sorry lecture and instruction
