"QUESTION ON DEMAND"

Define the symbol * by the following equation:
x* = 1 – x, for all non-negative x. If
((1 − x)*)* =(1 − x)* , then x =
(A) 1/2
(B) 3/4
(C) 1
(D) 2
(E) 3

the anser is C:1
because,
x*= 1-x
so,
((1-x)*)*= (1-x)8
so, ((x*)*)* = (x*)*
so now * has to be 1, than only both the sides would be equal
((1)*)*)* = (1*)*
1 = 1
answer is 1, thts C
