Let's apply some POE:

It can't be A. Hearing loss is not indicated by other senses compensating the problem. It is indicated by not hearing, so we get rid of it.

It can't be B, because the developement of perception by other senses do not prevent the hearing loss, we get rid of it too

Answer C makes sense: as other senses compensate, the person do not realize he is loosing hearing sense, that causes the DETECTION to be hard or COMPLICATED. We pick this one

Do you think that the fact that the other senses compensating your hearing loss facilitates the healing of your sickness? Not at all, so we get rid of D

Try to construct the same question with the optins given in E: it makes no sense so we get rid of it too.

The only answer that makes sense is C. Then it should be the right answer.
