24 is the ans... since middle one is fixed we can arrange other 4 in 4! factorial ways
i guess it is 120 coz there are 5 bushes

White Yellow Red Purple Pink
i guess when you say Red is in the middle then relative to Red these combinations are equal.
so it should be 24 / 2 == 12 :P :P

In given 5 places red is for middle and the first two places can be arranged with 4 flowers in 4c2 ways and the remaining last tow places with remaining two flowers in 2! ways therefore ans is 12 ways
