    why not c?
    ans:
    "nonviolent demo.." implies there is nothing to be tolerated (by...the "community" i.e.the community of rulers).They (the rulers)are now forced to correct the injustice.
    the subject is the rulers,not the public(who had nonciolent demo).

    so accepted is irrelevant in the context.
    that means,the ruler were ignoring the injustices done to people,which they cant do now.
    hence it ll be "ignored".therefore,choice A.
