  1. I think it could be B or D, but D is more correct because 'sporadic' is less appropriate than 'obligatory', while 'effortless' and 'ubiquitous' are equally fitting.

    conspicuous means blatant or obvious
    indispensible means vital, essential,necessary

    ubiquitous means universal,found every where
    obligatory means madatory,compulsory,binding etc..So

  9. THe answer is B...sporadic means present at regular places...eg..plant growth is sporadic...that is , it is present at lots of places...the precise fact which is being reasoned out in the remainder of the sentence
