Use of Speech in deviating from the main point is called Filibuster.
a passage or section that deviates from the central theme is digression

i think it is c and the above explaintion is the apt one

answer is A and not C
marathon is long race as filibuster is a long speech ...

But Marathon include race in positive sense and Filibuster includes speech in a negative sense Madur?
How do u explain (A)?

let me throw some light ...

GRE analogies are not at all based on +ve and -ve connotations... they are clearly based on relationships and whichsoever provides stronger relationship is the answer ....

connotations only sometimes choose the better out of two similar relationships ...

http://www.takegre.com/index.php/gre-analogy-13/
let me know if i am wrong ...

and to add more, a passage and digression cannot be called positive or negative, since digression can be towards positive thing also... i.e. from wrong to right ...

hope i am clear

CORRECT ANSWER IS
ADDRESS is an eye-catcher since it might remind
one of a SPEECH. DIGRESSION is also an eyecatcher
since one may digress during a SPEECH.
Now, a FILIBUSTER is a long SPEECH. Similarly, a
MARATHON is a long RACE. The answer is (A).
