  2. You may not recognize GRATUITOUS in isolation,
    but you probably understand it in the
    phrase: “Gratuitous sex and violence.” GRATUITOUS
    means “freely given, uncalled for.”
    The opposite is BEFITTING. The answer is
    (E).
