"GEOMETRY QUESTION OF THE DAY"

A rectangle is 14 cm long and 10 cm wide. If the length is reduced by x cms and its width is increased also by x cms so as to make it a square then its area changes by :

    14-x=10+x
    x=2&area of rectangle is 140
    144-14*10=4

    len decreases by x,and length increases by x so it makes square means
    perimeter of a rectangle=48 is same perimeter of a square =48
    side of a square=12
    area = 144
    ans is b
