'GRE ALGEBRA QUESTION OF THE DAY"

The number of numbers that can be formed by the digits 1,2,3,4,3,2,1. the odd digits are at odd places is given by

B) 215
C) 93
D) 36

Well..as far as my understanding of the Question goes..we rae suppossed to make 7 digits numbers from the ones given ..keeping the odd numbers (1,3) at the odd places ...theresfore there are 6 arrangements possible for the odd nuumbers..i.e 1331,1133,3311,3113,1313,3131 and in between them there are 3 possible arrangments of 2,4,2 amongst each of the arrangements of odd numbers..therefore 18
